Our Pre K classroom is funded through the Alabama Department of Education. It is organized around interest areas and learning centers. These areas allow children to play and explore materials with the guidance of teachers either individually or in small groups. The teacher follows the Creative Curriculum and the classroom has a set daily schedule that balances out large group, center time, outside play, story time, rest time, and small group time. In addition to the 3K class curriculum, we implement hand writing, reading, math, and the basic skills that will be needed for the students to be successful in Kindergarten. Our pre K students also take educational field trips and host numerous events to incorporate family engagement.
